SS&Gers Activities in Boise, May 17 - 22
Welcome to all non-golfers, new and returnees. We will meet each morning in the lobby. Please leave your room number with us to notify you of any changes that might occur. This agenda is not set in stone (except Monday) and your comments and suggestions are most welcome. We are here for a good time and want you to enjoy this fellowship and the scenic city of Boise. Monday-May 18th Meet @ 9:30 AM
Discuss activities for the rest of the week. We have 11 AM reservations to take an hour guided tour of downtown and historic Boise on the Boise Trolley train. Admission is $14 for seniors. We will have lunch at a fun downtown restaurant. At 1:30 PM we will drive up Capitol Blvd. to the Boise Depot, a mission style train depot opened in 1925 with gardens and ponds. After viewing the main hall, we will take the elevator up to the bell tower and enjoy the beautiful views of Boise and the foothills. Admission is free. |

Tuesday-May 19th Meet at 9:30 AM
This is “Team Play Day”. For those of you without specific plans, we will meet in the lobby and go the Boise Art Museum. It currently has an exhibit of Ansel Adams’ early work, among other exhibits. Admission is $3 for seniors. We will then go to old 8th Street area for browsing and lunch and possibly visit southeast Boise after lunch. |

Wednesday-May 20th Meet @ 8:30 AM
We will drive to the World Center for Birds of Prey area south of Boise and take a tour of the facilities. Admission is $6 for seniors. We will then go to the Boise Towne Square Mall for shopping and lunch |

Thursday-May 21st Meet @ 9:00 AM
We have reservations at 9:30 to tour the Basque Block, which includes the Basque Museum. Boise has the largest Basque population outside Europe. Admission is $4 for seniors. We will view some public art nearby and then have lunch at Leku Ona, an authentic Basque restaurant. After lunch, we will drive to the Old Idaho Penitentiary for a tour given by Becky DeSilvia who has been giving tours at the Old Pen for several years. Admission is $4 for seniors. |
We need volunteers to drive so if your husband can car pool, it would help us out. Look forward to seeing you Monday morning.
